History
Founded in 1880, ORT is the world’s largest Jewish non-profit organization dedicated to vocational and technical education. As part of our mission to improve the lives of the Jewish community and the rest of the world, the organization has provided education to more than 3 million students.
US ORT Operations was established in 1983 and is responsible for managing the operations and the development of educational programs and curricula for all schools and colleges that carry the ORT name in the US.

US ORT Operations is a non-profit organization whose aim is to provide communities wherever they are, with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed and thrive in our evolving technology-reliant society; To foster economic self-sufficiency, mobility and a sense of identity through use of state-of-the-art technology; To advance the teachers in our communities with the skills and competencies required for preparing future engineers, technologists, and innovators.
